Accelerated SAP better known as ASAP is SAP's own methodology for implementing SAP. I had discussed as to how the ASAP methodology works in one of my earlier posts. Today, the topic of our discussion is the various documents required in an ASAP project. I am describing the documents involved in the Project preperation stage below.
Project Preperation - In the project preperation stage, the documents involved include the change charter, the project plan, the project scope, and the project team organization. Let us see what each ASAP document is required for:
Change Charter - An SAP implementation project requires a total change in organization culture. A change charter document sets the tone by describing the goals and objectives of the organizational change management.
ASAP Project Plan - Next document required is the ASAP project plan. The project plan is more detailed in nature and describes the project milestones and various stages in the project in detail.
Project Scope - The project scope defines the extent of the SAP implementation. sales cycle, purchase cycle etc.
Project Team Organization - This document in ASAP consists of standards and procedures which describe who executes the project, and how it will be executed.
