SAP R/3 comes pre-delivered with tons of reports for each of the modules. Almost any information needed from the system can be generated using standard SAP reports. Rather than generating a table from transaction SE16, users can simply go in the Information System for a particular module and get the report they need. Downloading table fro SE16 requires the same to be formatted before they make sense to the user. My advise to SAP R/3 users or that matter auditors is to make full use of the reporting options available in terms of layout, sorting and selecting report data. Users can save a great deal of time and effort by specifying the right options in the report menu.
I am explaining how a user can view reports taking an example of accounts receivable reports in SAP R/3. To view the report, user needs to go to the following menu path:
Accounting >> Financial Accounting >> Accounts Receivable >> Information Systems >> Reports for Accounts Receivable Accounting.
The screenshot above shows some of the many reports available within the SAP AR area. Similar to the example mentioned above, one can access reports in other areas by going to the main access screen and then going to the relvant area and selecting SAP Information Systems to access the SAP standard reports within that area.
