Q). What is a functional area in SAP?

Answer:

In SAP, a functional area is normally assigned to the query. It represents the logical database or tables with respect to the various linkages/table joins defined. This helpful in defining which tables and fields the query can reference.

Yes you are right. However, I would like to know where to get more details on SAP Quickviewer and is there a possibility of creating a new field other than the one comes from the selected database. Thanks in advance.
