SAP SD - Sales Area

In the SAP SD Sales and Distribution module, a sales area consists of the following data -

A sales area is compiled of the following data:

- a sales organization
- a distribution channel
- and a division.

Normally, a sales area is used for reporting purposes. Sales area helps users in defining the pricing according to sales area or as information analysis.

Sales and distribution data is only used by the SD area. This includes data for pricing or shipping. Since this is a master level data, it applies to only one sales area and therefore is dependent on the sales structure i.e. sales organization, distribution channel, and division.
